Leading R&D in Schools

This innovative professional development programme is for middle and senior leaders interested in engaging in and with research. Leading R&D in Schools is a core element of the IOE R&D Network, providing a supportive forum for emerging and existing research leads to share and develop their practice in leading learning-centred, evidence- informed improvement within and across schools. Between sessions, participants are encouraged to apply their learning through collaborative, practice-based enquiries centred on issues of strategic importance to their schools.

Research Informed Peer Review

Improve your school with a deep form of peer review, enhanced by evidence-informed principles of evaluation and implementation.  Work together with other school leaders and practitioners to develop leadership and pedagogy.

Research Informed Peer Review involves reciprocal school visits to gather and scrutinise evidence and identify improvement points for learning and development. The approach is based around the principles of effective peer review but enhanced by additional engagement with academic research and a HE facilitator.
