Online Research Sources

There are a number of external online research sources offering a variety of publications and resources to assist your schools' research plans.

The EEF toolkit

The Sutton Trust-Education Endowment Foundation is independent grant-making charity with an aim of closing the gap between educational achievement and family income.

The EEF Teaching and Learning Toolkit provides a summary of topics in terms of their impact on learner attainment, their cost and the strength of their evidence. Impact is measured in terms of additional months progress you might expect learners to make because of an approach being used. The toolkit also provides a DIY evaluation guide for measuring research impact.

Education Datalab

Led by Rebecca Allen, Education Datalab brings together an expert team of academics, researchers and statisticians specialising in the analysis of large-scale administrative and survey datasets such as National Pupil Database, the Longitudinal Survey of Young People in England and the School Workforce Census. They aim to turn curiosity about education into quantitative analysis and produce independent, cutting-edge research that can be used by policy makers to inform education policy, and by schools to improve practice.
